Opening Statement:
NorthStar Clubhouse is in the process of gradually re-opening!
Attending our physical location will be by appointment only.
NorthStar Clubhouse’s physical location will be open beginning June 16th three days a week for four hours a day. To accommodate the health and safety of our community, the schedule to start will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12 PM to 4 PM. We will start with 9 members and 3 staff, in total 12 people at one time. See the paragraph below in green to sign up!
We are looking at guidance from the CDC, our Clubhouse Colleagues, New Narrative, and other examples in Multnomah County to help us with our planning and organization of safe and socially distanced work stations at the Clubhouse. All of these guidelines have been agreed upon through consensus by NorthStar membership and staff. These beginning protocols are for everyone’s safety, and will be reviewed and adjusted as we enter into new phases of Multnomah County opening.
To ensure the safety of our community, all members will be asked to read and sign the Attendance Protocol before engaging in work at NorthStar Clubhouse.

You can read and sign this document before coming to NorthStar Clubhouse’s physical location and bring it with you on your first day of our re-opening, or sign it when you get there. Some of our previous policies and procedures are changing due to the COVID-19 situation, such as cleaning and a new floor plan. This may impact your want to attend. Please refer to the Attendance Protocol for more information.

Work that can be done virtually and big community decisions will be planned out on Zoom. Zoom meetings will continue to occur at 10 am and 3 pm. NorthStar Clubhouse work will continue to operate virtually on Zoom and in our private Facebook group, NorthStar Clubhouse Online. These platforms will continue to remain available Monday through Friday for members that are not present in NorthStar’s physical space. In NorthStar Clubhouse’s physical building, there will be a 12:30 PM meeting to organize the work of the day in the clubhouse. All members are welcome to participate in all Zoom meetings when they are not at the Clubhouse, to preserve computers for work of the day.
We will continue to be flexible and make sure we are looking into the safest and most inclusive options for our community. We welcome your feedback, participation, and patience. We are excited to see you at NorthStar Clubhouse and on a Zoom meeting soon! This is a work in progress, and together we thrive!

COVID-19 does not discriminate, and neither should we. During this time of heightened fear and anxiety, it is important to be mindful of how we treat others and acknowledge that the virus is not transmitted by a certain people, race, ethnicity nor nation. People can only get the virus by coming in contact with someone who has the virus or by traveling to an infected area, despite the person's race or ethnicity.
