Communications and Technology
(CAT)

This unit supports the clubhouse by maintaining the technology we use to communicate inside and outside the clubhouse. This unit relies on you- our members- to help each other to learn more about technology! We are always in need of more helping hands and creative minds.
 

The CAT Work-Ordered-Day includes:
 

Communications: 

• Create and publish brochures to help different audiences understand NorthStar’s role in mental health. 

• Help manage social media and informational email blasts. 

• Photography and other multi-media projects. 

• Create posters and banners for events. 

• Create and publish Member Newsletter - the “Navigator” and Public Newsletter - the “Compass”. 

• Electronic document organization. 

• Create and publish videos about NorthStar. 

 

Technology: 

• Information Technology Management - maintain computers, plan hardware and software needs, assist other members and staff with computer questions. 

• Learning and improving computer skills. 

• Website development: create new designs, maintain pages, make sure the domain is paid for, link to other sites. 

• Plan hardware and software needs for Clubhouse developments. 

• Help development processes and procedures with new technology implementation across Clubhouse units.
